- Sometimes you may find yourself shooting in a lower light environment and, while of course you can do things like bump up the ISO or open up the aperture, it may not match the shooting style that you're going for. There are benefits to shooting with lower ISO, Less noise and grain, and sometimes you have a scene like this real estate environment where you want a lot of depth of field so people can see all the detail. In this case, what we have to rely on is the shutter speed and for the ultimate control in shutter speed there's a special mode called bulb mode. What happens here is, essentially, it allows you to keep shooting over a continuous time to capture a shot for as long as you need. Now, to access bulb mode is a little bit different on each camera, but, essentially, what you're going to need to do is spin the dial on the camera and keep adjusting the time to a higher increment. Once you do this, the camera will allow you to switch into shooting for an extended period of time.…
