- [Voiceover] I was out on a dry lake bed in Nevada recently and it was incredibly hazy out, due to fires in the west, and I shot this. And I'm gonna correct it now. As I said, it was very very hazy, so I'm having a real contrast problem in this image. You can see up here in my histogram that I got no blacks, I got no white, all my tones are centered in the middle. So this is a pretty straightforward adjustment. I'm gonna start by increasing the contrast. I would like to have more brightness overall, so I'm gonna drag my Exposure more to the right. I've got these wonderful clouds, I'd like to pull a little more contrast out of those, so I'm going to increase the contrast between the highlights and the whites, by dragging those two sliders in opposite directions. I know I want clarity, because I was shooting RAW, so this image is gonna be a little soft, so I'm gonna dial that up. I'm gonna do that before I do too much more finicky contrast work, because clarity will always increase…
