Manual mode

- If you need to dial in very precise settings, you might choose Manual Mode for your camera. For example, if I'm shooting video or time-lapse, I'll use manual controls to avoid any changes in the scene over time. Manual Mode gives you full control over both shutter speed and aperture for a camera. To switch to Manual Mode is easy. Just turn the dial or press the mode button and switch so it is saying M. And now we know we're in Manual Mode. The last settings you've used will be reloaded. Now, shutter speed is set by turning the dial here. As I change the rear dial, you see that the shutter speed adjusts. And as such, it's letting in a longer shutter for more light. There's that slower shutter speed. And for example, if we set that to one second, you see that the shutter is reading as overexposed. Now, if we adjust the aperture value here. Let's go to shallower depth of field. That lets in even more light. Using our controls here, I'm going to make things a little bit brighter. So…
