Operation limitations

- This section will show you the operating limitations and the responsibilities of the remote pilot in command, the person manipulating the controls, the visual observer, and anyone else that may be directly participating in the small unmanned aircraft operation. Before a small unmanned aircraft operation, the pilot in command must assess the operating environment. The assessment must include, but it's not limited to weather conditions, airspace and flight restrictions you may encounter, the location of people and property, and other ground hazards. The aircraft cannot go faster than 87 knots. That is 100 miles per hour. The altitude cannot be higher than 400 feet above the ground unless the small unmanned aircraft is flown with 400 feet of a structure. If so, it cannot fly higher than 400 feet above the structure's immediate uppermost limit. So if you are inspecting a tower, you can fly 400 feet above the tower, but not farther than 400 feet away from it. The minimum flight…
