- Let's move our attention to video. One of the first things we'll fix in a video shot is the general exposure, ensuring that we have good highlights and shadows, as well as a proper white point and black point. Once you've selected a clip, you can either add it to a timeline or, in some editing programs, you can adjust the clip right here in the source monitor. I'm using Adobe Premier Pro, but the adjustments you'll make are the same with any sort of video footage clip. Let's take a look here, and I'm gonna bring up our scopes, and just drag these over so I can better see them. I have the source clip and my scopes. What I wanna take a look at are two different scopes, the RGB Parade and the Vector Scope. Now what I can see is the overall exposure and the color balance. Now, the exact user interface may vary from application to application. Let's start by tackling exposure. We fix exposure first because changing it affects color.
