- [Steve] You know, it's often surprising to me just how difficult the pursuit of color photography can be. Hi, I'm Steve Simon, the Passionate Photographer, and welcome to a new edition of Photo Critique of the Week. And this week we're going to be looking at the imagery of Saadia Mahmud, who's a great photographer based in Dubai, a former student of mine and we're going to talk about color but more specifically, we're going to be talking about a particular color and in this instance that color is orange and i remember it very distinctly, because Saadia was in my class, we were going out shooting and was a little bit unfocused and trying to sort of find her way and the suggestion came up of just maybe picking something and following it, and you know, this is something that photographers have done in the past, I've tried it as well, and it can be a really interesting exercise and she chose color.
