- You're going to hear me say it a lot in this series, find photographic potential, then go to work waiting. Because in my experience, patience pays off occasionally but occasionally is good odds for a photographer. Hi, I'm Steve Simon, the passionate photographer and welcome to the photo critique of the week. You know, most of the time when we go out to shoot, we don't come back with that five star image that we hope for but we know it's out there and by patience, I don't necessarily mean hours or even days. Here, let me show you. This was a series of images I did at this dance studio. And as you can see from the image, you know, there's a beautiful reflection of the dancers. You can see that the studio is a little, you know a little rough around the edges. And the opposite of kind of what's being reflected, these beautiful dancers. So, this was my idea for a picture so rather than just take this shot and move on, I know that patience is rewarded. So, I just sort of, you know, stood…
