Photographing the Aurora as it continually changes - Part 2

- So I've been out here for about an hour, maybe hour and a half, it's 1:30 in the morning I think. It's about negative three degrees. I cannot feel my toes (laughs). The film crew has been running around the forest here setting up time-lapses, so we should have some really spectacular stuff to look at. For me, I've been havin' a couple issues doing this. I've never shot the Aurora before. This is sort of a last minute thing that I just sort of took advantage of. Couple things that I've realized real quickly: I wish I had a real tripod (laughs). I wasn't here to do this, so I didn't have a real tripod, but, you know, when you don't have what you need, you don't let that stop you from doin' what you want to do. I found a light stand and this little arm here. That's working, but what I've noticed is I'm getting a little bit of vibration with the wind, which is getting some blur in my images. I found a couple different ways to compensate for that. I'm doing a higher shutter speed…
