- Hi, everybody. Steve Simon, The Passionate Photographer, here, and welcome to a brand new edition of Photo Critique of the Week. And this week we're going to look at a subject and an approach to a subject. And in this particular case it is a ballet dance school. And I just wanted to highlight some different perspectives by different photographers, and giving you sort of food for thought when you yourself have to go out and photograph a specific event. So obviously this isn't a stage situation. It is a classroom situation, but they're practicing. So because of that there tends to be a stronger access. And in this case I wanted to photograph and highlight the male dancer in the foreground sharp and the other dancers doing something in the background. And obviously the fact that he's caught in the air makes for a stronger image, but from a compositional standpoint the fact that he is not overlapping any of these other dancers and almost pointing to this one, and then moving to this…
