- So you're out in the world, you're walking around. You see a play of light or light striking something and it really catches your eye and makes you wanna take a photo of it. The way the light is reflecting off of that thing that's out there and falling on your eyes is so beautiful that you decide to preserve that forever by photographing it. You come back home, and then you look at it on your computer screen, where it's not reflecting off of anything. There's just color being transmitted directly into your eyes. That's a completely different kinda light than this light that we see out here in the real world. It's not until you get that image back on paper that you are again seeing the type of reflected light that caught your eye in the first place. That's why I think printing is such a critical part of the photographic process, and that's why I am currently sitting right next to a big printer here. Today we're…
