- Besides the people in your photos, you also need a release form for the property. This is going to be the location, or, the subject matter of your photo. Now, you're quickly discovering that selling images, and selling graphic design content or video, involves a lot of rights. That's because people buy it knowing that they are free to use it and won't be sued. It's not just take out your camera and point it at something. Creating content for stock is a deliberate process and property releases are really the other half of this, along with the model release. With a property release you're going to need a release form if the property is recognizable. This is particularly true if it involves a ticket to get involved, or if it's something like a national park. While you might think shooting in a national park is totally okay, it's fine if it's for personal use.
