Reducing camera shake

- Once you start taking pictures it's important that you have a steady camera. A vibrating or shaky camera can lead to blurry shots. Well there's several strategies here. Now with a smartphone you might be used to one-handing it, but with a camera, particularly a DSLR camera with a larger lens, it can get a bit heavy. Sure there's a nice contoured grip here that gives you a good feeling and you might be able to do it, but over time it's going to get a little bit shaky. So things to think about include taking a second hand, or holding it under the lens. Now when I shoot it's pretty simple, what I'm looking for is stability so I take it up to the eye and place it and this is going to work nicely. This means that as I'm looking, there's a point of contact here as it rests against my face. One point of contact here holding the camera grip and another on the lens. And if I tuck my shoulders in, this is a three point table, very solid and very steady. Of course there's still a better idea…
