Reviewing the works of photographers who shoot abstract

- You don't have to engage in the kind of archaic photographic process we saw in the last movie to create abstract images. With some imagination, close observation, and possibly a willingness to put you and your camera into odd places, you can shoot images that are every bit as abstract as what we saw in the last movie. Here's an image by another Oklahoma Arts Institute student named Ashley Miller. This image has actually turned up before, I believe, in a practicing photographer. This was a case where she was sitting at her desk working at her computer and took a drink out of a water bottle and in the process of taking that drink looked down the length of the water bottle and saw this interesting texture, so she held it up to her monitor to backlight it and took a shot of it with her camera, I really like this image, not just because it's a great example of finding a cool image without leaving your chair, but it's not recognizable as a water bottle which I think is good, it's just a…
