Saving the project file
- Once you've made these changes, it's a good idea to save the project file. Once you're done with the color correction, be sure to save the project. File, Save As, choose the location, and give it a name. This way, you have the native file if you ever need it. In this case, I applied the color correction directly to the master clip. Remember, some folks will also add clips to a sequence. This will make it easy for you to trim away parts of the shot you don't want. Let's go ahead and mark this out. That looks good. And I will choose to lift that. And it removes the clip. You can then apply the same effects that you learned earlier, so you can quickly enhance the shot. Let's take a look at my scopes here, and I'll apply the same effects. I'll balance out the shadows, put a little bit of details into the blacks, enhance the contrast, and lift my white point, so it's getting closer to 100.
