Saving the project file

- Once you're done editing the photo it's a good idea to save the changes. This way, in case you ever have to go back, or the reviewer asks for a change you can open up the document. Let's talk about saving a Photoshop file as well as how to back up changes made in Lightroom. Let's save this image here so it's ready for future revisions. I'll choose File, Save As. Now I'm gonna capture this as a Photoshop file, and Preserve Layers. When I click Save the new file is generated. This gives me a Photoshop document, and you can track the save progress at the bottom here. In the future if you ever need to revisit the raw file you can simply double-click here on the layer itself. Doing so will force the embedded smart object, in this case, a DMG file, or a simple raw file to re-open. This makes it easy for you to evaluate the image, and make any subtle tweaks.
