Setting essential camera menu settings
- Your camera's menu offers many settings and the exact menus will vary from one camera to the next, but let's take a look at a couple of key settings you should be familiar with. To start just press the Menu button on your camera. Nikon's menus can be navigated using the D-pad on the back and as you notice here it scrolls through different options paying attention to the scroll bar on the side that's very similar to how a folder would work on your computer or a webpage. You'll notice that you can scroll up or down in either direction and it takes you through the list. If you press to the right or the left what you'll see here is different settings, so some settings can be accessed by pressing to the right and this will engage the setting and then going back to the left takes you up a level. If I keep pressing to the left I can now access the different settings in the side list taking me through choices like playback, shooting, custom settings, setup menu, retouching for editing in…
