- Now let's talk about using this as a Bluetooth only remote. This method works really well and it uses less power than Wi-Fi mode. In Bluetooth remote control, you'll notice that we have pretty simple controls here. Let's start in Photo mode and you see I can switch between Photo and Video. In Video mode I get a really big red button and now I can start recording and stop. I also have simple controls here so I could remotely adjust the zoom level, pulling in or out to help frame up the shot. There we go and when ready, tap Record. You see it works very well. If I go to Camera mode, similar, I can still adjust zoom. And then tap to take the picture. If I go to Review Playback here, I'll just tap to see the media. This gives me the ability to step through and review clips. Now this isn't as useful, but if you are using this connected to a television via HDMI this could be a useful way to see a playback of a slideshow.
