- Once you've been shooting for a while you might want to check your images back. This is quite simple to do in camera. You don't have to wait 'til you have to get back to a computer. To start, just press the playback button. It'll be located on the bottom of your camera. Now once you do this, the screen will come on. The exact information you see may vary. You could press the info button to cycle through different views. In this case, I've got some extra overlays turned on that you might not see. For example, the grid and the focus box. Let's go into the Menu settings to control this. What I'll do is navigate to the playback menu. Here, I could choose some options as to what's visible. I'll go here and decide what to see. For example, let's start with highlights turned off. The focus point turned off and the grid turned off. Here we go. And I'm going to simplify the Histogram to just the luminance or the Brightness.
