Shooting with an attached flash

- While your camera may have a built-in flash that's quite useful when shooting under basic conditions, you might find yourself wanting more power. As such, most Nikon cameras support the additional of an external flash. Now, this is not a full overview of how to use your flash. There's some great courses in the library to help you with that, but these are the basics. First up, what you're going to want to do, is take the flash that you've purchased, and line it up with the shoe here. This is the hot shoe and this just simply lines up, and should slip into place, like such. Let's go ahead and take a look at that from the side there, and what you'll notice is that the foot just slides in. So it comes into place, and should slide right in. If you at that from the back, you can see that a little bit better, and you just line that up, and slide it into place. Once you've done so, flip the switch here, and what this does is locks this.
