- Have you ever experienced photographer's block? I think that all creative people go through periods at times where they're just not able to create the kind of art or imagery that they know they're capable of. Recently I kind of experienced that on a road trip, in of all places, Tokyo Japan, which should be very inspiring and easy to get great images. So I'm going to talk this week on Photo Critique of the Week, and by the way I'm Steve Simon, the passionate photographer, about an experience that was recent where I was able to break free of that block and it involved sort of doing something different and trying a brand new technique. I was in Tokyo. I was on a workshop, leading a workshop actually and in the first couple of days of shooting, I was not really happy with what I was getting. Tokyo is such a frenetic city, there's so much energy there. And I was very disappointed with the imagery that I was capturing, it just didn't quite measure up to the excitement and the feelings…
