Shooting and reviewing in Auto mode

- One of the best places to start out with getting familiar with your camera is to just put it in auto mode or creative auto mode. This will allow the camera to make many of the choices for you as you get familiar with the basic controls. To start, just change the mode dial. Press the center button and turn it so the green box is lined up with the tick mark. Then flip the power switch to on. Give your camera a second to boot. Now make sure the lens cap isn't attached and you can start to frame up your shots. Let's go ahead and I'll switch this to live view for a moment so you can see what I'm seeing. We'll adjust the shot to compose it a little bit and let's lock that in and since this is a zoom lens, we'll punch in a little bit just to explore some details here on the globe. Now when I'm in auto mode and I half press the shutter button, it automatically calculates the settings for me. That's because it's going to determine what settings it thinks it needs.
