Shooting in scene modes
- Let's go ahead and take a look at a slightly different model camera. Rather than a professional body, we have a more consumer oriented point and shoot. Now Canon offers many different model cameras. This is a PowerShot camera here. And while it does offer some professional type controls, like the ability to use an actual mode dial, we do have a lot of flexibility built in. One of the options you'll find on Canon's more consumer oriented cameras is the option to use scene modes. These are preset recipes that could be used for a variety of purposes. They're essentially recipes that your camera follows. Now some of them are designed for certain situations, like shooting portraits, or shooting at night, while others are more creative in looks. Let's go ahead and start by putting the camera into scene mode. In this case I'll just do a spin here and you'll see all the standard sorts of choices we're used to.
