- [Steve] Telling a story. There are so many ways to tell a story in art, in a song, in a novel, in a movie, and in a photograph. Hi, I'm Steve Simon, the Passionate Photographer, and welcome to a new edition of Photo Critique of the Week. And this week we're going to talk about storytelling. It's a theme I will pick up on from time to time and I like to, because in some ways I think the idea that you can tell a story in one photograph is kind of amazing, and it's not an easy thing to do. And I think that Cartier-Bresson said that some pictures there's a whole story, there's a whole Chekhov story in there, and it's true. So I've chosen a few images made in Lisbon from a recent street photography walkabout that I think tells stories. And a picture like this, I think tells a story. I think there's some humor in it.
