- When it comes to working on your images in Photoshop or Lightroom, one of the accessories that I often recommend is a tablet. In fact, it's one of the accessories that I get the most questions about. I offer a very simple challenge to help you get a better sense of whether or not a tablet, a stylus, might be right for you. That is the signature challenge. I'm going to start off inside of Photoshop here, using my mouse to try to essentially write my signature, my autograph here. I'll go ahead and write, and you can, well, already off to not a very good start here. Well, that was a little bit painful. Took a little bit of extra time, not the most fluid signature I've ever made. I'm going to switch my ink color here as it were in Photoshop to black, and then I will use the stylus, the pen, along with my Wacom tablet. Now, this is the key ingredient to a Wacom tablet. I have the tablet, I have the pen. I'm able to draw on the pen, and that translates to drawing on my screen…
