Technical requirements for photos

- Now that you understand some of the subject matter considerations let's just lock down the technical requirements for images. These may vary slightly from site to site but are generally the same. Most websites are gonna ask for you to submit content as high quality JPEG images. While you should shoot raw or DNG, JPEGs are what you'll deliver. The maximum size will vary by platform but generally speaking capture at the highest quality your camera supports. Most will have a minimum resolution of four megapixels but the maximum resolution can be as high as 100 megapixels. Higher quality higher resolution files are often sold at a higher cost as well. Now the exact size may vary from site to site but 45 megabytes seems to be the maximum JPEG size. Later on I'll show you specific techniques on saving, but this gives you a good idea when you are actually creating the JPEG files. Do not add any watermarks.
