Technical requirements for video

- There are some technical requirements when it comes to delivering video. Let's go over some specs and practices that will work with most stock imaging sites. First up, most sites will take clips up to 60 seconds in duration. Longer than this and you should split them into additional shots. Also, because of technical reasons, most websites can't handle files larger than 3.9 gigabytes. As far as resolution requirements go, you can still deliver in 1080p for HD or in traditional 2K, but it's the newer UHD or DCI compliant 4K file sizes that are really more popular and more valuable. Consider shooting 4K to get the best return. Now, there are also some additional requirements that you should be aware of when it comes to delivering video files. Make sure you upload the content at its native frame size. Don't down convert and don't up convert. If you shot 4K, deliver 4K. If you shot HD, deliver HD.
