Touring the viewfinder
- Now, your viewfinder on your camera is an electronic screen. It's a smaller version of the live view panel on the back. It's going to tell you the shooting mode indicator that you can know if you're shooting in a mode like manual or aperture priority or scene mode and next to that is the memory card status. Now, the three digits will tell you how many shots you have left before you've filled up the same on the card. If there's not enough light in the scene, then the autofocus illuminator will shine a light onto the scene and make it easier to focus. This is the aspect ratio for stills. Now, with the a7 series, you're either shooting 3:2 ratio or 16:9. And next to that is the steady shot indicator. If you're shooting stills, these two indicators share the image quality and the image size that you're shooting. Remember, as you switch between different sized JPEGs and RAW options, the selections will show up here. If you're shooting video, these show you the movie frame rate in size…
