Traveling with hard drives

- When you travel for photography, chances are you're going to be bringing a computer with you, and you're also going to bring hard drives. In other words, you need to download the photos that you're capturing during the trip. And if you, like me, don't have enough storage capacity in your computer, you're going to need to use external hard drives. And especially for travel, I think it's important to keep in mind certain attributes for those hard drives. To begin with, because of the rigors of travel, I like to get hard drives that are a bit rugged. These happen to be the LaCie Rugged Hard Drives. And you can see they have a bumper around the outside, so that if I drop them, hopefully my data remains safe. It gives me a little bit more piece of mind. It's also a relatively small package. This is a four terabyte hard drive, but it doesn't take up a lot of space. But one of the considerations I think is most important…
