- As a photographer, light is your most important tool, and without it, you are not to be making any kind of a portrait at all, and we've got lots of tools for helping us make great light. Of course there's sunlight, but when we talk about making repeatable, proficient photographs, you're going to be needing some artificial lights to get it done, and I'm going to teach you how to use each of these, to help your people look their best, to really flatter them with gorgeous light that shows off the kinds of moods, and gives them the characteristics they want to portray in their business portraits. Let's take a look at some of these. Continuous light sources are really powerful because they allow you to see the light before you even make a picture.
