- As a photography teacher and workshop leader helping thousands of students over the years, I know how valuable a well-articulated critique can be. We learn, not just by hearing about our own images, but from seeing other photographers' work and learning from their process. I know that photography, like all art, is subjective. There's no one way to do things, or one selection process. But I've also found that, though art is not a democracy, often the strongest images rise to the top and the majority are in agreement. Editing is an art, not science, but it's a learnt skill which develops over time. Throughout this course, I'll help you develop your critical thinking and selection skills, ultimately boosting your confidence in making the right decisions. But I know that picture selection does have its limits.
