Use color checker and white balance targets

- Starting with the right color when you're finishing your portraits is a great way to make sure that your subject is looking their best, and you can start with the right color by using one of these checker tools; this is the SpyderCHECKR and this is the X-Rite ColorChecker. Each of them has an array of color swatches that is calibrated with a tool that you can import into Lightroom or use their own tool and then LightRoom analyzes the colors and it makes them look just perfect, picture to picture, frame to frame, even when you're in a different environment. You can use it outside and you can use it inside. All you have to do is take a picture of it under the same light that you're photographing your subject under. So if I'm in the studio I just hold it up in front of their face, or take a picture of it before they even arrive using the strobes to light it up.
