Using Blackwrap or Cinefoil to control the light

- Now sometimes we have to much light and we have to do is flag it or cut it. Now that's just a simple term of saying we want to put something in front of that light to stop the light from hitting part of our scene. A great product is called Black Foil or Cinefoil and all it really is is a very, very, very heavy weight aluminum. The difference is it's black. Now the purpose for it being black is so it's non-reflective. Now this stuff is amazing. Cut off a sheet (foil crinkling) and from here what we're able to do is just shape it and mold it just like we did with this light here. Now if I want to block a certain part of the scene. Now we use it as a flag or that cutter and we just hold it like this, right in front of that light. So this way light doesn't spill on the opposite side. This cinefoil is great because it's also portable. You can throw it in your camera bag. Take a piece like this, roll it up, fold it and just slip it right it.
