Using gels with speedlights

- Now, speed lights add beautiful light to a scene, but sometimes you want to make it a dramatic effect. So, this is where gels come in. Now, like studio strobes, we can connect a gel to a speed light. The difference is these are a lot smaller. There are many different ways to attach gels to a speed light. If you were to buy a kit from Rogue like this, it comes with a little rubber band. So place the gel over the speed light. And then with your rubber band, stretch it out, and place it over the gel. Now, it's that easy. I can change the temperature of my speed light and bring color onto the scene. Now, if you didn't purchase a pack, what you can do is just buy a whole sheet of gels and all you need to do is cut a little piece out and use that piece onto the speed light. And from here we'll use what's called gaffer's tape. Now, with gaff tape, we're just going to put it onto the speed light or attach it from the gel to the speed light and it'll hold it in place.
