Using picture effects

- Your camera may offer some dedicated effects that can be applied when capturing images. Now, sometimes these are available under the menu or you may find them on a dedicated command dial position. This particular camera, since it's more consumer-oriented, has an actual dial for this. I could just turn it to Effects mode, (camera beeps) and you see now we're in Effects mode. Now, once this is triggered, you'll see the different options on the back of the camera. Let's go ahead and zoom in here a little bit. Frame up our shot. And the Soft style is currently selected. (camera shutters) Now what this did, is created a gentler, softer image and it's processing the JPEG formore diffusion in the background. If I press the Menu button, you see I can actually access the Special effects. Now the choices are going to vary per camera. The first one here, is Soft and what this does, is gives us more diffusion into the image itself and softens some of the details. Our next choice is Nostalgic…
