Vary your tripod height

- I find that many photographers tend to capture their photos from the exact same height, at least many of their photos. It's either the height at which they stand, in other words when they bring the camera up to their eye, the camera's at this height, or it is at tripod height. That can certainly work in a wide variety of situations, for example, in landscape photography, often just being at tripod height will work perfectly fine. But, whenever possible, I encourage you to explore other possibilities for the photo in terms of your composition, your position, and that includes the height of the camera. Try taking that camera down low, lowering your tripod for example, or taking the camera off the tripod if that's an option, or try to get a higher vantage point. The key is to change things up a little bit periodically in photography. Don't always capture all of your images at tripod height, change the height of that tripod, or get the camera off the tripod, find an interesting position…
