- I love being a photographer. I love making pictures. I especially love making pictures with people. One of the most useful and profitable pictures I make with people are business head shots. Business head shots have always been a great tool for helping a person to convey what kind of a business they do, and also showing what kind of a person they are. We can convey trust and confidence, friendliness, loyalty, honesty. All of these things can be seen in a photograph. In this course I'm going to show you the tools you'll need to help you make great business head shots. Whether you're in business for yourself as a photographer or whether you need to convince your boss to let you make new head shots for the company, this class will show you all the tools, lighting, and even simple poses to help you make great head shots. I'm also going to show you how to work with people to help them produce their best looks in a picture. I'll show you the kinds of cameras and lenses that are adequate for making head shots. I'll show you that you don't need to spend a lot of money to get the tools to get this job going. I'll also show you what kind of tripods and light stands and backdrops you can use to make great head shots. One of the most important things in photography, of course, is light. In this course I will also show you how to create great flattering light that helps everybody that comes in front of your camera look their best. I'll show you how to pose them simply and I'll show you how to interact with people so that they feel great making a picture. We'll finish up the class on the computer. I'll show you how to sort and find the best expressions and how to really get your workflow narrowed down so you're not wasting time on the computer. I'll also show you how to finish the pictures so you can provide a polished and professional-looking head shot. Head shot photography is really fun to do. I am really excited to help you get started. From the tools, to working with people and finishing your pictures on the computer, this is going to be a fun class. Let's get going.
