What are stock images?
- Before we do anything else, let's get a good working definition as to what stock imagery is. What exactly are stock images? Well essentially stock images are available in a wide variety of mediums. These can take the form of photos. This is one of the most common types that you'll see, as many people need images, for everything from presentations to magazines to printed advertisements. Another area that is very common is illustration. These can include editable illustrations that people can modify or lock down illustrations that are ready to use. You'll also see an area of growth particularly since 4K video has come on the scene, for video clips. These can be used in finished videos, broadcast pieces, cut into a presentation, or used for social media advertisements. We also see that music is a long term element that people typically get from stock sites. Now composers of course still exist as do musicians, but many will create music libraries that are available for license. And this…
