Why photos look different with a flash

- In the last chapter we worked through a basic three point flash lighting system for some simple portraits. You saw me pick the individual roles for the flash, find the exposure, get everything set. We've now moved here to a different location and I'm here with Chan, Chan's got something really exciting that I'm not going to tell ya about yet. You're going to see it in the next movie. But I want to quickly cover something that we didn't talk about yesterday, and that is how I can sit here and look at Chan with the idea of doing a portrait and the light looks a particular way to me. Chan looks great, he's got this natural light on him. I'm going to hit him with a flash from this side and I've got that, that background back there, those reeds. And so, that might be what I'm seeing and I get myself set up and I go to take a picture and I find myself surprised because it looks very different. I get this.
