- Many photographers love their camera bags and backpacks, often amassing a collection of many different models. But I also find that many photographers practice bad habits when it comes to that bag related to not closing up your bag when you're not using it. For example, I often use a backpack, and in this case, I have a backpack with a little access slot that makes it very easy to get to my camera on the go. The problem is it's easier to open up the bag and take the camera out than it is to close things back up. And especially if you're just taking a quick shot and you plan to put the camera back away, you might leave the bag open. Well I can tell you I learned the hard way. That's a bad practice. I had switched lenses. I left the bag open because I knew that I was going to be switching lenses back again. Except then the plan changed. I picked the backpack up and a lens went flying.
