Adding a black-and-white effect

- Now I'm a big fan of black and white photography, but I shoot color. What I like to do is use the color information in the photograph and create a custom black and white conversion or a grayscale image using the software. Let me walk you through some of the many different options you have when using photos from macOS. To start, we'll use a simple approach. Let's go the album Chernobyl, and I'll choose this image here that's of a scene leftover after the blast. In this case, you see some different colors, and I'd like to make a black and white image but emphasize different areas. Let's go to Edit, and you'll find that there is a dedicated tool here for black and white. If I open this you'll see a simple slider and options. Clicking the auto button will analyze things and make the recommended change. But what I can do here as I drag is audition different black and white options. And you'll see what it does is…
