Challenge: Controlling color and color casts
- It's time for another challenge. And I'd like to see if you've really mastered how to use these different adjustments. I'm going to pick an image, and I'd like you to try to fix the color problems in the photo. Now remember, you might also want to adjust some of the tonal areas for better contrast. Let's take a look at this particular picture. There's nothing wrong with it, but the overall color is quite lacking. We have this rich Caribbean color here, but the sky is washed out. The reds don't really pop. The dark reds and the orangeish brick are really blending together. Plus, the green of the tree lacks vibrance. And the white point is a bit off due to the lighting or perhaps a wrong camera setting. Alright, there's a lot of problems. Now, there's nothing overwhelming about this image, but I bet if you use the tools you just learned about, you can make it look a lot better. What I'd like you to do is pause after…
