- In our previous example we did a simple black and white conversion and I showed you how boosting color would effect the black and white, particularly after the fact. Let's do a little bit more pre-processing ahead of time and then do the black and white conversion. I'll double-click to go back to the grid view and I'm going to go to this photo here. This is an abandoned car that's got some graffiti and I just want to create an interesting black and white photo. I'll click the Edit button here and I'm going to bring out the color. Let's boost the saturation and emphasize the contrast here, but remove the cast. I'll also come down to the white balance and click on the neutral gray here to get a more natural cement color. Now this color is not natural looking, it's very strong, and that's okay. Now, we'll turn on the black and white effect and you'll see as we drag through how that strong color really comes into…
