Reducing unwanted noise in a photo

- There are a lot of things that can cause noise in an image. Smaller camera sensors are prone to be noisier because they have to work harder in low light. If you don't have enough light, this can also cause noise on any camera, because you're likely shooting at a higher ISO setting. As you bump this up, or if you're shooting in auto mode, it might really boost the signal going through the sensor, which, again, leads to noise. An overheated camera can create noise, too. So there's lots of different issues that lead to noise. Fortunately, removing it is pretty simple. Let's go back to the grid view here. I'll press the spacebar. And I'm going to go to a evening image that's going to be prone to having a bit more noise. Let's select this one here that's an HDR image that used bracketing, and double-click. Now, HDR photos tend to merge multiple exposures together. I'll press the z key to zoom, and as we look, you start to see…
