The impact of perspective

- Another concept that's often overlooked is the use of perspective. This can include the angle that the camera was pointed in relationship to the subject. In this case, we're viewing the road at an eye level. It feels like a journey about to begin. And you really get a sense of being there, ready to start that journey. However, if we moved to a higher angle, now, instead of focusing on the road as much, we're focusing on the horizon, and where the journey is going to take us. Conversely, if the camera gets lower to the road, and is very low to the ground, it feels a bit more daunting, and the distance that we have to travel is much further away. Now, this is a simple concept photographically, but it can also be used with illustration elements. In this case, this backdrop, or presentation title graphic, really conveys the sense of people being part of the information technology system. And I see that it's rising upward, and it feels like it's moving in the right direction. Here…
