772 Illustrator CC 2019 new preview mode

- Hey gang, this is Deke McClelland. Welcome to Deke's Techniques! This week, I got a short one for you, just a minute, I'd like to brag, but I do not have the time. You know how InDesign offers a preview mode? Just press the W key and all the extra junk disappears? As of CC 2019, so does Illustrator, only it's not called preview. See this document? Aw, it has a bleed in red, and all these objects overlapping into the pasteboard. But what does it really look like? Go up to the view menu, choose trim view. Everything outside the artboard including the bleed disappears, and you can still edit. Need a shortcut? Choose edit keyboard shortcuts. Go to menu commands, find trim view. Why not Control + M for trim? On the Mac, hit Command + M and ignore the conflict. I'm actually delighted with Illustrator CC 2019. I say actually because, well you know what the word actually actually means. I got a follow-up movie on presentation mode and much much more. Deke's Techniques each and every week. Keep watching!
