812 Welcome to my seamlessly repeating summer

- Hey, gang, this is Deke McClelland. Welcome to Deke's Techniques and what I'm calling my seamlessly repeating summer. That is to say, a summer of techniques that repeat and repeat and repeat and repeat, which is already in progress, by the way. We started creating seamlessly repeating, perfectly tessellating tile patterns a couple of weeks before summer even started when we made these inter-connecting 24-sided stars. But that was just the beginning. Next week, we're going to start work on this orthogonal object here, whatever it is, and then we'll repeat it like crazy to create this elaborate background, complete with gradients and blends. Next, we'll create this radial pattern of 3-D isometric arrows using just the line segment tool. And over the course of a few creative adjustments, we'll ultimately achieve this crazy pattern of inter-connecting faces. We'll make this op art tunnel of repeating triangles, which is, frankly, a little hard to even look at until we add these rainbows of blended colors. We'll construct this impossible trident, this guy right here, complete with volumetric shading and shadows, which will somehow become the inspiration for this colorful, if altogether impossible, latticework. Did I say seamlessly repeating summer? By the time we're done, it'll be October. Deke's Techniques, each and every week. This is who we are now.
