Add texture in Illustrator

- In a previous example, I took some Illustrator artwork, placed it in Photoshop, and added texture to it there. In this example, I would like to create a texture in Photoshop and then place that texture in Illustrator. So the distinction here is that the final artwork will be hosted in Illustrator and, and this really is the punchline, the texture will be vectorized so that the final artwork is completely scalable. Let's switch to Photoshop and my base artwork in Illustrator is a five-inch square. So I'm going to start out by creating a texture at that size. I'll create a new Photoshop document, five inches by five inches at a resolution of 300 pixels per inch. Now for my texture I'm going to use an Extension. This Extension is available for free on Adobe Exchange. It's called "Adobe Paper Texture Pro." This gives me the option of various different textures. The one I want to use is called "Raw Linen."
