Add vector shapes
- Next, let's create the graphical elements that will contain the text in our design. Start by selecting the rectangle tool from the toolbar, then create a rectangle at the bottom of the document. In the properties panel, you'll see the options for this vector shape. You can change the fill. I'll make mine blue. You could also add a stroke, which is an outline around the rectangle. I don't need one in this case. You can round the corners by clicking and dragging over any of these four icons or by clicking and dragging on the circular icons over the shape. The rectangle is not centered, but you can center it to the canvas by selecting the move tool, then pressing Ctrl A on Windows, Command A on the Mac, to select the entire canvas. Notice the marching ants going around the canvas. Then, from the options bar, you can click on this icon to center the vector shape, horizontally. Press Ctrl D on Windows, Command D on the Mac…
