Adding a glow effect to the subject

- In this movie we are going to cover an advance topic and have some fun. Here we're going to look at how we can create a new layer and how we can use this new layer to add a bit of a Glow effect around our subject. The reason why I want to do this is because if you look at the background you can see all of these stalks here have this glowing edge. I want to add a little bit of that to our subject and to do that we'll begin by creating a new layer. Let's click on the New Layer icon, then double click this layer and we're going to name this layer Glow. Next what we're going to do is actually create a group, so click on the Group icon here and we're going to name this group Glow as well. So the first two steps are to create a new Layer and a new Group. Let's put the new layer inside of this group and once we've done that we're now ready to begin to build our effect.
