Adjusting contrast and correcting color using Curves

- [Instructor] One of the most powerful adjustment layers in Photoshop is the curves adjustment layer. So let's take a moment to see how it can help us to improve this image. From the bottom of the layers panel I'm going to select the curves adjustment layer. We can see that similar to levels. It has a histogram right here in the properties panel. It also has the auto button to make an auto correction and it's got the same auto options that I can either select by choosing auto options from the fly out menu. Or I can hold down the Option key on Mac or the Alt key on windows in order to display that dialog. All right, I'll go ahead and click okay. And then I'm going to reset it for now. If we want to set the black points and the white points in order to increase the dynamic range I can drag the black point slider over to the right and just like levels I can hold down the Option or the Alt key in order to see what's clipping on…
